    Vantage Deluxe World Travel is currently seeking a Manager to oversee the operations of the Air Revenue Generating Dept.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    Include the following, other duties may be assigned

    • Manages and co-ordinates flight reservations  for Land, Small Ship and River Products  by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors
    • Schedules rotation of worker assignments to improve capabilities of personnel and develop worker overall knowledge of department activities
    • Directs investigation of customer complaints regarding reservation services and prepares correspondence designed to improve customer relations.
    • Manage all assigned programs to ensure all Air Operations timelines are met.
    • Review and complete all daily bookings ensuring that flights assigned are the best quality routing available, are within costing guidelines and meet requirements of airline contracts
    • Complete daily air deviations and changes. Review all Preliminary Air Itineraries prior to mailing for accuracy and quality. Manage Airline Block space according to airline policies
    • Ticket all assigned programs according to airline contract requirements and costing guidelines
    • Support customer service in relation to all flight related issues
    • Proof all airline related features and assist in proofing other materials.
    • Ensures air operations deliverables are completed on time & accurately: booking & ticketing the highest quality air routings at the lowest prices to recognize a positive air variance  
    • Supports the Director of Air Services

      

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the co-ordination, and evaluation of the Air Agents & all of their related deliverables
    • 6 direct reports : Air Revenue Generating Agents
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    • Five or More Years of Sabre GDS Experience
    • Education: Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years’ related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
    • Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.    Minimum 5 years of Sabre experience a must.
