Reporting  to the Chief Executive Office and serving on the Executive Team, the Vice President of Global Human Resources is responsible for the development or creation of a global Human Resources infrastructure that will drive  a diverse and high-performance culture. Somone who can wear multiple hats simultaneously is critical. The VP of HR will proactively develop solutions, policies and initiatives that address issues in a dynamic environment. With a physical office in the US and Hungary, as well as contractors in other countries, the VP will need to be adaptable and, based on past experiences, maneuver a global human resources environment. As Vantage continues to evolve and grow, organizational development, talent evolution, leadership development, change management, strategic partnering, progressive policy design and recruiting are important competencies to have deep knowledge.

  • Manage recruitment and training staff and processes.
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll processing (post-payroll accounting done in accounting)
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the company’s human resource function and performance.
  • Lead department initiatives and revise policies. 
  • Develop comprehensive HR strategies - including recruitment, public relations, social strategies, online presence, and turn over reduction.
  • Be the main point of contact for global employee matters
  • Refine and execute a Vantage-wide learning strategy aligned to job expectations, corporate objectives and strategic imperatives
  • Develop and roll-out initiatives to support leadership development
  • Manage benefit direction particularly in plan design, broker relationships and cost containment
  • Develop and evolve employee policies as necessary to keep abreast of the changing employment law landscape and maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws as well as working closely with country-specific attorneys to establish self-administering contracts and policies
  • Provide guidance in employee relations situation which may include management coaching, delivery, facilitation and after-action follow-up
  • Provide legal interpretations of employment-related matters while utilizing corporate legal counsel for more complex issues or to simply get feedback on an initial legal assessment
  • Work diligently to maintain an harassment-free environment based on a culture of respect and dignity
  • Develop HR planning models for thorough talent assessments that includes, in collaboration with managers, the identification competency gaps
  • Create, rollout and monitor the Vantage Performance Management Program that includes 10-day, 45-day, 6-month and annual employee performance evaluations
  • Develop a succession planning program for key contributor and management positions
  • Develop and monitor compensation program
  • Maintain, expand and/or replace HR systems to achieve maximum effectiveness – systems include HRIS, payroll, employee self-service, manager self-service, training/development, and applicant tracking system
  • As a strategic partner, participate in the development of organizational objectives, particularly from the perspective of the impact on people and their ability to achieve the established goals
  • Drive, motivate, develop and train others within the HR group
  • Manage the budget and other financial measures of HR


  • 7+ years of deep HR generalist experience with at least 3 years in management roles
  • SPHR preferred
  • Experience supporting domestic and international employee population
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all corporate functions and influence executives
  • Experience managing training and development function
  • Experience managing payroll with preference given to those who have ADP experience
  • Experience managing various HRIS and ATS platforms.  Preference given to those familiar with ICIMS.
  • Desire to be in a hands-on, fast-paced role.
  • Travel industry experience preferred but not required
